Born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1968, he earned a BFA from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia in 1990, and an MFA from Syracuse University in 1993. His work is contemporary still-life done in the delicate technique of silverpoint, a medieval medium that uses a stylus made from fine silver on specially-prepared paper. He has exhibited in prestigious competitions, in curated museum shows, and in professional and experimental galleries all over the United States, won numerous awards, has sold work out of George Billis Gallery in New York and the Adamson-Duvannes Gallery in Los Angeles. He has drawings in the collections of major museums, private foundations, and private collectors, including the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, New York, and the Telfair Museum of Art in Savannah, Georgia. He resides near Denver, Colorado.
