Travanca Fonseca

Travanca Fonseca was born in 1940 in the city of Vila Boim, Portugal.
At an early age travels to Mozambique where he acquires a passion for arts (mainly drawing human anatomy).
Later on works also in hand crafting work and oil painting, catching and interpreting animals, nature and the day to day life in Africa.
Along with his technical education and work as industrial designer, he enjoys applying in the paintings a more emotional and direct way rather than following the classical approach.
Experimentation with different materials and techniques are the trails that guide him through the ambition of celebrating the present and hope for the future.
