Christina Tsakoumakou

The sea sparkles in the light. The mountain lifts the sun high on the horizon and leaves it free to travel to the west. The mediterranean color has entered my workshop, time, air, water and soil are the skin of my works. Each one is dedicated to the sacredness of the place, each one taken from the place itself.

Christina was born in 1984 in Athens Greece and after finishing her studies in fine arts and archaeology she traveled to the south of Peloponnese. She always dreamed of living in the countryside and this was the right time to change her lifestyle.
She has been living for the last eight years in a house on the top of a hill near the village of Koroni in Messinia.
Now she is happy to have a 180 degree horizon around her, to be close to nature and to have found a very personal way of being.
In 2017 she opens her showroom in the middle of Koroni which was also in the beginning her art studio. There she began painting and exhibiting hand painted fabrics and also her first ceramic series which included pottery, sculptures and jewellery.
