Her work is about process based on research and materials, conventional or unconventional, with a specific focus on the practice of drawing. In 1990 she was a resident at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. Recent Exhibitions: regularly in France and abroad (Australia, UK and Germany). She is represented by the Gallery Benninger in Cologne. Recent exhibitions include, “Elephant” Espace 15 in Paris, a curatorial project and exhibition, “Phantom Limn”, a residency and exhibition at the Dovecot Galleries in Edinburgh, “We Drew a Garden, a drawing performance in collaboration with Chloe Briggs, “Plasticiennes, Femmes, Textes” and “Mots Brodés”, a collaboration since 2013 with the students at the Bamrouli Fashion Crafts School in Uttah, Pradesh, India. In 2014 she was part of the group exhibition “Personal Histories” at the Redland Museum in Cleveland, Australia. ‘The Nabakov Paper’, exhibition at Shandy Hall, Coxwold and publication conceived by Kate Briggs, Information as Material, York, U.K. Reviewed in Art Monthly, Dec/Jan 2013/2014. Artist and educator. Education: BA (1986) in Fine Arts in printmaking and painting from Connecticut College, and a MFA (1989) in “Image Imprimée” (printmaking) from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Work History: involved in art education since graduating from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. She has worked in many art schools in Paris (including: ENSAD and Parsons Paris) and at PCA for over fifteen years. She has extensive experience teaching all levels of drawing at the Bachelor’s level. She designed and teaches ‘Junior Studio Concepts’ and ‘Senior Studio Concepts’. In 2009 she was appointed to create a bilingual French-English foundation course based on the European model, called Atelier of Art. It is a one-year fine arts program designed to prepare students for international degree schools.
Since 2011 Chair of Fine Arts and the Masters in drawing at PCA and responsible for changing and developping the entire fine arts curriculum introducing new courses and teaching methods.
