Anica Shpilberg

I was born in Peru. In 1970 moved to the USA where I studied Interior
design and later on painting and sculpture at Silvermine School of Art in
New Canaan, CT and at Pratt Graphics in NY. Currently I reside in Miami
where I am a resident artist at Bakehouse Art Complex. Thru the years I
have worked on a variety of mediums from Steel and Stone to acrylics with
mixed media and photography with and with out intervention.
I have taken part in many art shows in the US and Internationally and my
work are collected in Europe, South America China and India. In the past
year I showed in Shanghai and London, and in 2012 I will be showing at
Galleries Daliko in Krems, Austria. LuminArt in Dallas, TX currently
represents me.

1972 -1974 INTERIOR DESIGN AT LA SALLE UNIVERSITY, CHICAGO,IL.

1979 - 1983 OIL PAINTING AT THE MUNICIPAL SCHOOL OF ART IN CARACAS, VENEZUELA.

1984-1987 AND FROM 1991-1996 PRINTMAKING, MIXED MEDIA AND STEEL SCULPTURE AT THE SILVERMINE SCHOOL OF ART IN NEW CANAAN, CT.

1986 - 1987 PRINTMAKING AT THE PRATT GRAPHICS, NEW YORK

1995-1996 THE CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY PRINTMAKING, NORWALK, CT.

1996 – 1999 CRITIQUE CLASSES UNDER PROFESSOR GORDON.
