Marta Biagini

My name is Marta Biagini.
I was born in Montecatini Terme, Italy. Since 1984 then I have lived and devoted myself to painting in Athens, Greece.
From 1994 until the present day, I have had ten Personals in Athens and one in Florence.I have taken part in many Collective Painting Art Exhibitions in Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Slovakia and Russian.
My works are exhibited in public and private collections both in Greece and abroad.
My paint is Surreal.The shapes produced during my work are inspired by symbols in evolution: these shapes find their reason for being inside other shapes and vice versa, as in a kind of amalgamation that leads to the exploration of something that is continuously being renewed from composition to composition.
At times I devote myself to painting “thinking hats “, and I lavishly pour my imagination in them, but also fill them with existential issues, where the viewer can find himself as well.
Besides the world of the subconscious, my work filters the symbols and emotions of memories both past and present.
In my never ending research, my intention is to express my feelings and I follow the teachings of Kandinsky; in other words, I try to take my inspiration from an interior need.

I studied in Rome at the Sapienza University where I graduated with a degree in Architecture in 1984. Since then I have lived and devoted myself to painting in Athens, Greece.
My artistic training was gradually completed during my studies at the Faculty of Architecture in Rome: there I learned above all the ability to “compose”.
When I then finally settled in Athens, I attended several art & painting studios to improve the study of color and light, which is in my opinion of fundamental importance .
Since 1990 I have been devoting myself solely to painting. From 1994 until the present day, I have had twelve Personals in Athens in Florence.I have taken part in many Collective Painting Art Exhibitions in Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Slovakia and Russian.
My works are exhibited in public and private collections both in Greece and abroad.
