Yifei Xia

Yifei Xia is an accomplished artist known for his captivating exploration of still life and figurative representation. Born in Gansu in 1989 to a family of artists, Yifei Xia's artistic journey began early, influenced by his parents' deep connection with traditional Chinese painting.

Xia pursued formal art education at Central Academy of Fine Arts and the Chinese Academy of Oil Painting. It was during these formative years that he developed a profound appreciation for the medium of oil paint and its ability to convey emotions and narratives with remarkable depth.

Yifei Xia was exposed to art from a young age when he was born into a family of artists who nurtured a passion for creativity and self-expression. He studied at the renowned Central Academy of Fine Arts and the Chinese Academy of Oil Painting, completing the prestigious "Advanced Oil Painting Program." These esteemed institutions provided a solid foundation for his artistic development.

Yifei Xia also had the privilege of working under the mentorship of established Chinese artists Yang Feiyun, Zhu Chunlin, and Han Hongwei. This invaluable experience helped shape his artistic style and provided him with a deeper understanding of the art world.

In 2016, Yifei Xia was recognised and accepted as a “Specially Invited Young Artist” by the Chinese Academy of Oil Painting.
