Thomas Ambuehl

I am a Father of 5 children, currently I am studying art and music in Oxford UK. In order to sustain my family financially I sell my artworks in different countries mainly in Switzerland Germany and in the UK.
My main medium is oil on canvas, landscapes of Switzerland and England, human bodies and portraiture. Due to a profound knowledge of Art history, my works often contain a clear reference to this history from the early Impressionism, Fauves and Expressionism up to recent postmodern abstract works. The manner of how I translate this variety of styles builds a coherence in itself and becomes thus an unique new style.
