Guy Augeri

Born: NYC 1955; Raised in Long Island NY.
1974 escaped to East Village NYC. Began my studies at School of Visual Arts. Raised my children in Upper Bucks county, Pennsylvania. 1996 I turned my energies to Environmental Activism which has had a major influence on my current work. From 1998 through 2001 I divided my time between Pennsylvania and Tuscany Italy, research into Etruscan culture and traditions. 2012 Started working with photography and writing poems 2016 started working on a novel. Moved to Puerto Rico USA March 2018. No filters or photoshop is used on these photos. I take photos at particular times of the day and night, under all weather conditions.

School of Visual Arts 1974-1978 Media Major Painting minor. After the first year I pursued independent studies and was a substitute teacher.

As a child in elementary school I was overwhelmed at Moma by seeing Picasso’s Guernica and Monet’s Water Lilies. Shortly afterwards I organized the field trip to The Guggenheim for the POP ART exhibition and was taken by Warhol.
My early heroes and remain so Botticelli, Leonardo especially the engineer, Michelangelo...
Upon arriving at School of Visual Arts I was taken by Francis Bacon, Vito Acconci, Duchamp, and the builders of Cathedrals.My strongest influences come from cinema, literature, science and my spiritual practice.
