Ahn Na Lim is a Korean Canadian artist based in Toronto, Canada. Her work explores memory, identity, and the quiet emotions that exist between presence and absence. Living between two cultures has shaped her sensitivity to in-between spaces—between Korea and Canada, tradition and technology, permanence and change.

Working with ink, acrylic, and digital media, Lim embraces both spontaneity and control. She is drawn to the unpredictable nature of traditional materials, where each mark carries traces of time, gesture, and imperfection. Through digital processes, she extends these moments, creating a dialogue between the handmade and the constructed.

Women frequently appear as the subjects of her work, serving as reflections of personal experience rather than portraits of specific individuals. They embody vulnerability, resilience, longing, and introspection—emotions that emerge from memory and lived experience. Through these figures, Lim explores fragments of her inner world, moments of nostalgia, and the quiet search for belonging.

Her practice is ultimately an act of recording: preserving fleeting emotions, subtle memories, and the silent spaces that shape how we understand ourselves.
