Derek Harris

I am a Professional Award Winning Photographer, Painter and Creative. Working professionally as a Travel, Garden Photographer and Painter, I love colour, which is ‘the sunshine of my life’, I am inspired by Nature and want to show and share its beauty, magic, colours in my photography and my paintings to more people. I study Taoism, Zen Buddhism and practice Mindfulness. These philosophies give me joy, peace and calmness which is reflected in my work, and which I hope and to share with the viewer.

Studied at the Sir John Cass School of Art and the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London and am member of the Cyprus Chamber of Fine Art. Originally from London I now live and work in Cyprus.

My work has been wildly exhibited in Galleries and Exhibitions in throughout the UK, in London, Europe, Cyprus and the USA. I am a member of The Chamber of Fine Art in Cyprus and have Exhibited at the Larnaca Biennale, and also Galleries in Nicosia,
Limassol and Paphos. International Art Fairs in London and recently the Luxembourg International Art Fair. My recent photography Exhibition ‘Flora Exotica’ and my current
Exhibition ‘My Lockdown Journey’ of new paintings is at the Blue Iris Gallery in Paphos, Cyprus.
