Simon Boyd

British-born painter Simon Boyd has lived in the Argentine Pampas since 2007, creating paintings that transform landscape, memory and changing light into vivid, dreamlike worlds. His work explores landscape as a space of memory, transformation and imagination, drawing inspiration from the open horizons of the Pampas, the forests of Misiones and the waterfalls of Iguazú. Through a vibrant visual language of colour, symbolism and expressive mark-making, Boyd's paintings move between representation and abstraction, balancing observation with personal experience. He studied Fine Art at Middlesex University, London, and has exhibited in Argentina, the United Kingdom and Spain. His work is held in private collections internationally.
