Shea

In 2008, Wil Lof introduced a new groundbreaking series of paintings under the title Shea. The mystical paintings in the Shea explicitly contain stylistic elements from abstract work and are characterized by a 'rock crystal'-like kaleidoscopic color palette that goes almost unnoticed. But unlike other paintings with more figures at their feet, a painting from the Shea series shows only one, which is limited to the silhouette of her upper body.
