Collage Zonique Collage

I was born in East Yorkshire from Ukrainian and English parents. Now I live in Shropshire. I am a professional illustrator with many years experience, but for most of my life I have been producing fine art too. In 2008 I gained a first class honours degree in Fine Art. Painting, collage, photography, films - all these things fascinate me in their turn. This wide interest in all visual media leads me to combine freely different techniques and different technologies. My digital collages use state of the art software with hundred year old documents to create evocative, mysterious and richly coloured artwork. Produced from old science, mathematics, and technology books from years of searching antique shops and flea-markets, these works gather together old book jackets, algebraic tables, navigation charts, vintage illustrations and my own photography to produce intriguing and memorable images. I also love to experiment using my digital illustration tools to produce creative and colorful fine art abstract images. I began taking photographs 30 years ago, and used my airbrush illustration skills to produce subtle hand colored effects on my black and white prints. I do the same today, but it's all digital now!
