About The Artwork

Inspired by mental health & illness, to help continue the conversation. This 30" x 40" mixed media on canvas was inspired by the feeling of hope, to continue fighting through your everyday struggles. 30+ plastic toy soldiers made into a semi-colon on a graffiti canvas, is a reflection of our struggles. No matter your age or where you are in life, we all go through things that can make us feel hopeless. Mental health and illness is not limited to age hence why toy soldiers which represents the youth was used to create the semi-colon. Try not to allow your struggles and demons cage you and your hope, acknowledge them and be free of them. All words/quotes written by yours truly (Pandora Owl). - Unframed (recommend leaving as is due to plastic toys) - Includes an attached wire on the back of canvas for hanging - Gallery Wrapped Heavy Duty Canvas

Pandora Owl was born and raised outside of Toronto, Ontario. Started her journey, building a career in advertising until she decided to make a leap into following her art passion. Her art focuses on mental health & illness in order to help comfort those who suffer from it as well as exposing it to those who don’t. She leverages mixed media in order to tell her stories, often referencing her youth by incorporating items such as comics and or toys; a style she developed in her art class back in high school. Her textured mixed media art has many layers that can be seen and felt but most importantly ignite and continue the conversation of mental health as it’s increasingly making its way to the forefront.
