New Series for 2021 based on and inspired by the famous Milan based Italian fashion house of Missoni. Starting in the late 1950's they used pattern and colours in their knitwear that is a signature style and recognised world wise today. This fabric was designed in the early 1960's and I have reimagined it with my own take on the colour-way and pattern. This work is made from colourfast paper that is the coated with layers of cold wax and polished and then framed. These works are a challenge to make, as once set down and adhered to the panels, there’s no possibility of amending them. My technique uses linear elements, repetition, colour, texture and optical illusion to create images of real and imagined places. Using colourfast and acid free paper, vinyl and other materials mounted on dibond panels, the artworks are framed with an acid free front mount and back panel in a black or oak wooden frame with hooks for hanging with UV acrylic glazing. All works are sent wrapped in bubble wrap and in a sturdy cardboard box to its new home.

Brian Reinker is a London based artist whose use of colour, texture and precision is unique. Working with the medium of collage his artworks are created using paper, foil and other materials to make multi layered interpretations of landscapes - both real and imagined - as well as urban environments, architecture and nature. Trained as an architect his attention to detail, use of graphic elements and colour theory are evident in the many series that have been produced in recent years. Recently he has been making custom coloured paper that is waxed and polished to fabricate distinctive works rich in texture and colour. Other themes recently explored include reinterpretations of textiles and fabrics, travel memories and the continued observations of London’s ever-changing skies and reflections. Saatchi Art selected him as one of 21 Artists to collect in 2021 and in addition he was selected to exhibit at the 2021 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. He has participated in numerous solo, joint and group exhibitions. His work can be found in collections in the UK, the Americas, Europe, the Far East and Australia. "It’s been exciting to add Brian’s Missoni and Bauhaus inspired pieces to my art collection. Am also thrilled with my newest acquisition from Brian, a joyous chair, inspired by the BBC Testcard, a loved feature of my childhood." Joanna - London “I have the pleasure of owning a number of Brian’s works in my apartment in Sydney and they make me smile." - Neil, Australia “My wife and I have collected 5 artworks from Brian over the past few years. The colourful artworks brighten up our home in Belfast." - Darren, United Kingdom Website - www.brianreinker.com Instagram - brianreinker
