I started painting when I was a little boy. My main subjects were horses and boats. I'm still painting these subjects, but in a better way (I think so). One day my mother took me to see an exhibition. The artist was Dalí. Yes, I was fascinated with his art and started dreaming about being so great and crazy as he was. The other painter that influences my art was Florencio Molina Campos. His caricatures about gauchos and horses are incredible. These two guys inspired me to do what I do. I studied Architecture because I thought I was going to draw all the time. Wrong... So after many years of struggling with straight lines, I change my career to beaux-arts. It was a risky choice because as you may know, art means suffering and no money, unless some rich patron discovers you. I'm still looking for one... Anyway art was not enough for my economy, so I got into the fly-fishing business. Working as a guide during the season and painting during the off-season was a good choice for my pocket. I painted a lot of fish and cute animals during those years, but still wanted more than a classical fishing scene on my canvas. That was the moment when I started to pay attention to the disappointing reality of my country. Argentine eternal crisis was my big inspiration for my paintings. I started to mix my cute animals with social and political facts, with interesting results. Nowadays I'm focusing in my "political incorrect" art. Those cute animals and fishing scenes I keep them for commissions or commercial illustrations. I'm a big fan of water sports and sailed all my life. A couple of years ago sailboats become part of my art subjects, making strange caricatures of yachts.
