My practice explores the human condition through the fragmented lens of memory, body, myth, and survival. I work primarily with oil paint, drawn to its ability to carry weight, texture, and emotion across the surface. My body often appears in my work—not as self-portrait, but as a vessel through which collective pain, vulnerability, and endurance are expressed. I was born in Bogura, Bangladesh, and completed my pre-degree studies at Bogura Art College. Following that, I embarked on a self-taught journey, developing my practice through deep personal inquiry, continuous exploration, and an evolving commitment to painting and drawing. My visual language is shaped by both intimate experience and broader narratives of trauma, femininity, mythology, and human resilience. I believe art can hold contradictions—tenderness and terror, intimacy and distance—and I am drawn to that threshold where truth becomes raw and visible. I am deeply influenced by the emotional gravitas of Francisco Goya, the figurative strength of S.M. Sultan, the psychological force of Francis Bacon, the flesh-bound honesty of Lucian Freud. Their works give me courage to confront discomfort and carve meaning from complexity. Through my work, I seek to create spaces where silence is visual and survival is embodied. These are not just personal stories—they echo global struggles, forgotten wounds, mythic undercurrents, and layered histories. My goal is to give form to what is often left unspoken, bridging the gap between the internal and the external, the self and the world.
