The series began with a longing for metaphorical, abstract, and yet concrete works. Many of my paintings are made up of small dots. Small dots symbolize stars. To me, stars are life itself, transcending time and space. They are longing and connected to hope. The countless stars that always shine unchangingly above our sky come to me as longing and memories that meet as the boundaries of time and space blur, and as comfort that they still exist somewhere. When I think of the countless stars that seem to pour down from the sky, I feel a miracle. Living as a human being on a planet in our galaxy within the infinite universe and countless galaxies must be a magical miracle that touches an unfathomable fantasy... So when I think of the stars in that endless universe, I think of the existences in countless times and spaces, and I also think that maybe someone I miss exists somewhere. So when I look at the stars, the boundaries of time and space disappear, and my longing turns into possibility, and that comes to me as comfort. I am painting each star with a prayer for life and peace.
