About The Artwork

This is about a poem from Emily Dickinson : "I'm nobody'. I'm nobody! Who are you? Are you nobody, too? Then there's a pair of us -- don't tell! They'd banish -- you know! How dreary to be somebody! How public like a frog To tell one's name the livelong day To an admiring bog! Those two figures make me feel this. The bright palette is full of optimism. It is about complicity and tenderness. This is a mixed technique of ink drawing and acrylic ink painting on aquarelle paper. I worked with a living model moving around on revolving harness for sculptors. It gave me the idea to show a body as a human relation. You can print this image on fine art paper or on canvas. But to fit with the texture of the original drawing, I would recommend fine art paper print. The quality of the image allows you to print in bigger size than the original painting. If you buy the original painting, note that I sign always in the back of the drawing with my logo and my original stamp HanaG. I also send you a certificate. About colors : I calibrate the color of the artwork fit with the screen colors (RVB). I make my shooting with cameras raw (HD) and low ASA to get high-resolution images. But of course, it is almost impossible to get the same result on different screens. Maybe your screen is not calibrated the same way. Nevertheless, I do my best to avoid disappointment. About framing : I do not publish the whole paper size but the useful dimension of the drawing. I send the original drawing with a paper frame to show exactly how it should be framed. About My Art Description English is not my mother tongue. I apologize for mistakes and not always a very compelling artwork description. I try to explain the most important idea about it. But if you want to talk about my work, do not hesitate to contact me for further information. I will be very happy to tell you more.
I speak English, German, French and Czech.

Hello, I am a French-Czech visual artist currently living in Paris and also in Picardie and Prague. After twenty years living behind the Iron Curtain, I have built my life in exile in France as an uprooted but free woman. Polyglot, with a university education ranging from linguistics to marketing, a former communication expert, e-commerce entrepreneur, I have turned the page at 50 to devote myself to an artistic career. The struggle for liberty and the refusal of propaganda are the two pillars of my experience. Why does my recent artworks focus on the body? Each body is like an endless exotic world to explore, and no human shape can totally seal nor unveil what is inside. How relevant is our first impression compared to a deeper immersion in somebody’s life? Our accomplishments, our roots and wounds, our delights or fears are encrypted in our anatomy and faces. My objective is to capture a part of this intrinsic and hidden identity. For me, any body is a messenger of people hidden singularity.
