Art Description

Drawing: Charcoal, Chalk, Conte on Paper.

This lonely scene depicts the Detroit Train Station as it was a number of years ago. It's windows were dark and it stood there, a towering ghostly figure.
I feel a sense of sorrow in it, and yet there is beauty in it's shadows and detail, weather and patina.
I tend to loosen up quite a lot in my drawings, they are much more abstract expressionist and capture the scene like we are looking through a fog, almost like it is wrapped in thread or fibers.
