Gathering At The Border Installation

One of a series entitled 'Marginalia' ; The work has its origins in the previous series of paintings entitled The Dreamlife Of Debris'; while that previous series had a busy laminated form, in this series I was interested in creating the interest in the margins - a kind of reverse 'cameo ' compositional form. In this example the focus has been moved from the centre to the margins This in turn reflected the notion of debris ( human and physical) being blow to the margins. The image is photographed housed in a box frame 3" deep and weighing c. 9lbs and is easily hung. ( not included)
