Born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, on October 4, 1985. Graduated from the National School of Visual Arts (ENAP) Julio Arraga. I have participated in several solo exhibitions: RAMPAGE at the Lia Bermúdez Art Center CAMLB (2015), Trapos al Sol at PDVSA La Estancia (2014), Candy-Shop at Hotel Kristoff (2013), Conóceme at 700 Art and Antiques (2012), and On Sale at Terán Gallery (2011). I am drawn to collage and assemblage within pop art, which is typically very colorful, though I also appreciate minimalism. One of my greatest influences is Robert Rauschenberg, along with the work of Frank Stella and other artists who successfully blend pop with different styles. My work reflects on appearance—how dressing or looking a certain way grants access to specific social circles or places. Clothing can be a disguise to achieve various aims, whether good or bad. Clothes hold secrets known only to the wearer and those who remove them, much like the saying, “if walls could talk.” I enjoy mixing various elements, from paint to materials, and leaving the pieces as if they were laminated.
