This outstanding collage acrylic painting; "What happens to the unjust" is a reflection of the incident on 1st November, 2022. At the top of the painting is a cutout from a newspaper which reads "The just shall live by faith". Now the question is; What happens to the unjust?. On the first day of November in 2022, six people were kidnapped from the University of Abuja of which after three days they were rescued. And on 14th of December, the VC said the University has been safer since the incident which was stated on the newspaper collage cutout on the painting. The main emphasis in this painting lies on the mental effect of this incident on people living and schooling there and also these negative actions carried out by bandits. While I use recently released newspapers to create collages in my works, they also serve as a means to preserve the stories of the present for future relevance. These stories will eventually become part of history; African history, Nigerian history.
