About The Artwork

The series "Ticket to the Void" is based on the sculpture of the same name made in 2011 (H-181 cm). In the paintings the author examines the object more closely from different angles, peers into the fragments, compares the parts of the whole. The essence, the "life" comes from some inner center, sprouting and spreading from the inside out. The resulting volume attracts and again directs to the center, calling to penetrate inside - into the emptiness and perceive the form from within in the free flight of imagination. Picturesque black-and-white images of parts of the sculpture through the simplest geometric forms give clarity of perception. A series of 6 pieces 62x148 cm (2 pieces) 52x125 cm (2 pieces) 45x108 cm (2 pieces) Canvas. Acrylic, gel pen
