Painting: Oil on Canvas.
This image is a part of the series entitled "Sky/Ocean/Cargo." Influenced by Romantic expressions of religious mysticism and the sublime, in this series Relja Penezic examines the complex relationship between our destruction and perception of the natural world. Sublime spectacles of majestic ocean-liners gliding through the mist belie the fact industrial pollutants have contaminated the surrounding air and water. With toxic waste continuing to be shipped to the most beautiful places on earth, our perception of the sites historically assumed to be wonders of the natural world will have to be revised.

strange, i like it!
Great work and very strong like it very beautiful work
I absolutely love this. It is visually haunting and I can't stop looking at it. Unfortunately I cannot afford to buy the original but I'd love a copy. Would you recommend a print on paper or canvas for this piece?
Thank you Orianda!
Original is painted on canvas, so I would recommend print on canvas if you want larger image size. But, if you want smaller image I think details will come out better if it's printed on paper.
I can just imagine this monolith, devoid of human presence, floating endlessly across the oceans
