ABOUT THE ARTWORK
During a visit to Alaska, we stopped at the Anchorage museum. They had an amazing garden out front with these giant cabbages amongst the flowers. There was still dew on the leaves and not a bug hole on any of them. Coming from the hot south, I have never seen a cabbage so perfect. I just had to paint it. I loved the juxtaposition of the yellows, purples and greens as well.
