Art Description

Painting: Acrylic

Final painting of series of ten paintings representing the Tudor Queen, Anne Boleyn.

In this painting, I wanted to depict Anne as a weeping madonna as well as a seeker of 'revenge' or even what could be considered a 'judgement' in beheading Henry's head. The small image on the right shows Anne beheading Henry. This is my expression of support towards women's rights and my protest against misogyny, the lack of fair treatment towards women around the world.
