About The Artwork
This artwork is a part of a series based on the work of China ink. I realised thoses small paintings in winter 2022. I think that it was so dark in my studio that the whites seemed greys, so I worked with black. I love by the way working with China ink. It makes me travel, I like its smoothness, its smell, its very particular black color and the mysteries surrounding its manufacture. Don't be afraid of its dark parts, the oranges and pinks warm up the whole work and the brushstrokes as well as the drops bring this energy which is so dear to me in my work. I take care about the shipping of the artworks. They can be framed with clear wood on demand. All the paintings are signed and titred on the backside and come with a authenticity certificate

Roxane Malu's artworks combine pleasurable childish mark-making, patterning, gestural application of colour and delicate shapes. She works with colorful palette and mixed media (pencils, inks, pastels, acrylic, oil, spraypaint...). Roxane lives and works in Walloon Brabant, Belgium.
