Painting: Acrylic, Paper, china marker on Wood.
Daly City #3 new work from the AmericanBones series. Daly City homes built for the GIs returning from WWII. The architecture was the inspiration for the song "Little Boxes on the Hillside". Also represented the conformity of the 50s in post war America that the 60s rejected. Now they are seen as mid century icons and highly desirable. Working on a series of these houses as they represent so many different aspects of American identity. Acrylic, image transfer, china marker.
