About The Artwork
Dark Skies measures 12" tall, 48" wide & 2" deep. The canvas board is one I made a while back, I started painting a rainy sky but I lost my way and set it aside for two years, waiting to get back that inspiration. That never happened, instead I got this one to take its place. I had this painting in mind for about a week (while I hand made the coils) knowing I wanted to incorporate the wet and dry look, with matte and glazed acrylics, the conceptual and physical texture and the contrast of the organic magazine paper coils vs. paint background.
