ABOUT THE ARTWORK

My current work explores the limitations of paint and mark-making within a stylized, simplified landscape. The horizon is representative of change, movement, and that which is before us. Each work explores the concept of layers as defined by oil painting while looking at a topic that is by nature defined by layers, or clouds and atmosphere. I am influenced by many painters including Georgia O'Keefe, and the skies of Indiana, my current residence, and Florida, where I grew up.

Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

Hello! I'm a painter in NW Indiana. I am inspired by the abstract chromatic and spatial potential and tendencies of the sky. These paintings are deeply meditative to me because clouds are formless and yet formed, wispy and yet solid, providing a brief interlude from the chaos of the world outside the studio. I am interested in the tension between image and material. UPDATE 12/16/22. My shop is currently on vacation for holiday travel, but will be available again shortly after Christmas.
