Mirinka was born in Czechoslovakia, to a Slovak mother and North African father. She was raised in Morocco, France, and Canada which fueled her passion for travels and her love for different cultures. She currently resides in South Florida. Mirinka received a classic formation in oil at a very young age while being a resident student in a Catholic convent. She was only 7 years old. Ever since painting and creating became her life’s mission. “I love to paint anything, but my favorite is women’s faces. Must be because when I don’t paint or create, I paint on people faces as a Permanent Makeup Artist. As far as I remember, I was always fascinated by face morphology”. For the past 30 years, Mirinka is the leader in her field and is providing professional services to patients from all over the world. Mirinka stepped into the medical world by completing procedures previously done only by plastic surgeons, enhancing facial features and camouflaging patients scars with her technique and artistic abilities. In her own words: “I love to paint beauty and sensuality. Like a caméléon, my art blends with my always changing moods and inner thoughts. It is sometimes unpredictable and spontaneous and other times it’s orderly, classic and well planned, but by experimenting with aleatoric processes, I really get out of my box and I try to seduce the viewer into a world of ongoing equilibrium and the interval that articulates the stream of daily beauty. Moments and characters are depicted that only exist to punctuate the human drama in order to clarify our existence and to find poetic meaning in everyday life. My paintings don’t always reference logic, but there is always a recognizable form. The results are deconstructed to the extent that meaning is shifted and possible interpretation becomes multifaceted. By referencing sensuality, beauty, and symbolism, I want to amplify the astonishment of the spectator by creating compositions or settings that generate tranquil poetic images and or chaotic ones that leave the viewer on the edge of recognition and alienation. My work can appear as dreamlike images in which fiction and reality meet, well-known expressions merge, meanings shift, past and present fuse. Time and memory play a key role. My work doesn't always show the complete structure. This results in the fact that I can easily imagine an own interpretation without being hindered by the historical reality.
