I'm a narrative painter formerly employing landscape metaphor as a point of visual departure in abstracts. Recently I have begun to work more figuratively and with text to build accessible storylines through collage with the belief that all viewers can connect with the figure relationships. These collages serve as the laboratory for oil paintings. My subject is contemporary city life and I draw reference from street life, both contemporary and past era artists, and the evolving social construct.
