Introducing "Guana River Sunset," an evocative and vibrant piece of art measuring 48x24 inches, meticulously crafted using acrylic paint on premium canvas. This stunning artwork beautifully captures the serene moment of a fishing boat gently returning to dock at dusk, a daily ritual infused with the soft glow of the setting sun. Created in an expressive impressionistic style, the painting comes to life with bold, dynamic brushstrokes that effortlessly convey movement and emotion. The carefully thought-out interplay of light and shadow dances on the surface of the reflective waters, transporting viewers to the tranquil banks where the scene was originally conceived and brought to fruition. The rich, warm hues of the sunset contrast beautifully with the cooler tones of the encroaching night, creating a multifaceted composition that invites prolonged gazing and introspection. More than just a painting, "Guana River Sunset" serves as a visual invitation to pause and appreciate the serene, often-overlooked moments that add a touch of magic to our everyday lives. This beautiful artwork draws you in, asking you to find solace and inspiration in its tranquil beauty, making it a perfect addition to any space yearning for a touch of peaceful elegance.

“As an artist, I strive to continually grow and experiment with different techniques and mediums. I have spent most of my careers as an art director and graphic designer (30 years), professional photographer (15 years) and for the last decade, painter. Composition, creative problem solving and working with deadlines became ingrained after three decades as a designer. I hold a BS degree in fine & applied arts from San Diego State University. Having these experiences have affected how my photographic images are framed in the camera and on canvas, my understanding of light on objects from directing studio photographers and exploring the possibilities of artistic post production. I find that tinting, adding layers & borders, and digital painting made a unique statement. In my paintings now, the wealth of experiences have shaped how I approach a canvas and work through the stages of analyzing, experimenting, and creating . The challenges of painting have given me a passion about creating that I intend to continue as long as I can. Sailing and exploring the ocean was a big part of my early years in California. Hence, most of my paintings are related to ocean and beach landscapes. My seascapes, tropical scenes, underwater landscapes, mermaids, and abstract paintings are directly the result from my love of the sea. In my freestanding art studio at home, I listen to music, study and work on my canvases without technology interferring. It is a very joyful place where I am free to create from my imagination and also a good diversion from the technology of my photographic business. I feel so fortunate to be making a living doing what I love. ”
