Nicholas Garcia-Minaur is a Basque/Scottish abstract artist, his work is a semi-biographical exploration of different emotions, reactions with a a slightly detached observational angle, The work is usually layered, with a mixture of acrylic, oil, ink, as well as other materials. While studying Modern Art Techniques and Contemporary Art Practice Nick’s work is done in an Abstract Expressionist styles, some of the work has clear Colour Field and Action Painting influences, with some of his earlier work being closer to the style of Lyrical Abstraction. There are also explorations in other styles and fields, in the way of Digital Artwork, Collages, Sketches, Notes and instrumental music. Nick is based in the Isle Of Islay, Scotland, where he lives and works.
