ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With my series of 'Halves', I am searching for a balance between opening the paintings with energetic, gestural movements and then closing the pieces with slow, calming, and mindful strokes. Is it the Northern Lights or a sunrise or sunset elsewhere in the World? This I leave open for the viewer. 'Horizon' was the first piece created in this series of paintings and I still love looking at it and imagining places I am yet to visit.
