About The Artwork
This work was inspired by an incredibly healing relationship I explored with my best friend. I was unwell at the time and she cared for me so deeply. We lived together as friends and fell in love at points - but the love became so nourishing and expansive that we never explored being together monogamously, we both ended up being with other people. I think the idea of imortalising that moment of love and lived experience in painting and on canvas is incredibly beautiful and nods to an experience of love I want to celebrate.
