About The Artwork

This work is part of a series or explorations into creation of the universe. Scientists talk about the “Big Bang Theory”. Simply put they state that matter collapsed down into a minute infinitesimally small space and this resulted in the Big Bang. My question is where did the matter came from in the first place. Was the matter of something, created from nothing? Even more intriguing where did the gravity come from to collapse space into itself? Perhaps the matter came from a parallel universe on the other side of the fourth dimension? The images coming from the James Webb Space Telescope have blown my mind. Questions so many questions. I feel through my art I can travel to the furthest reaches of time and space, who needs a portal? This artwork is mounted but sold unframed, Please note the border is for display purpose only and is not included. The work is Vasari Oils on paper. The work will be securely packed in a cardboard box and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and will be singed and dated. I have ing you...Peter (Pierre) Georgopoulos 2022

My name is Peter (Pierre) Georgopoulos, I’m an artist, graphic designer, illustrator, writer and photographer. I’m what you’d call a visual thinker. A slipping Glimpser A multi-dimensional artist. Always curious. I work in a diverse range of subjects and media. My goal is to create evocative memorable imagery through the use of playful organic forms. I like to "take the line for a dance". Serendipity is an important element of my work. This gives my images a quirky childlike character. I fell in love with painting as a child. My love blossomed in High School where I finished in the top students in Australia. I was one of the first students to enrol at the then new, Canberra College of Art, studying Certificate of Painting. I also have a great interest in the Applied Arts and have a Diploma of Graphic Design from the Canberra Institute of Technology. Studying both the fine arts and applied arts has given me solid foundations to build on. I was born in Australia and have travelled extensively throughout the world. I have a passion for Politics, Nature, Music, Photography and Life. These are the main influences upon my artistic practice. The early years of my art career were focused almost entirely on black and white tonal drawings in various media. Including pencil, charcoal, pastel, graphite, ink, collage and watercolour. Early works were tonal drawings in a hyper-realist style. I’m comfortable in both figurative, abstract and narrative motifs, but what I enjoy the most, is uninhibited spontaneous abstraction. I’ve spent many years studying and researching colour. Especially oil paint and Watercolour. I’ve been seduced by colour and it’s a key element in my work. My recent projects involve synthesising elements of Politics, War, Nature and Music. Throughout my art career I’ve had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people who’ve inspired and supported me. As for the future, I want to keep exploring and pushing the boundaries, to continually make my work challenging, fresh and always inventive. Thank you for visiting, please drop by again soon. I’m always working on new projects. Pierre
