Photographed at the National Botanical Garden in DC and painted in my Port Richmond studio with long blended strokes of magenta, yellow, white and Prussian blue. I worried that the bright leaf would overwhelm the delicate flowers, but this was not the case! This is oil on paper with a matte varnish, completely archival. Painting is oil on paper, completely archival. paper is primed, painted and varnished with a matte UV varnish. Frame with or without glass.

B. 1961, grew up in the South but have been living in Philadelphia for 15 years now. At this time my focus has turned to botanicals, in all aspects, including, of course, my art. Previous work as a painter can be seen online under Kim Alsbrooks, a successful series of miniatures which I have put aside for now. Marie is my middle name, used for this body of work. I have exhibited all over the US, Berlin and have work in many collections. Won West Collects Prize in 2012.
