ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Painting from a still life of found objects is inspirational - such a sight leads the imagination to create interesting juxtapositions of mundane objects which are amusing to the painter and the viewer (so the painter hopes!) I use the flat of the palette knife to layer the disparate fields of color, and the edge of the palette knife to outline the shapes. Oil paint gives me the subtlety in the color. The painting is on heavy watercolor paper, ready for the framer to contribute her expertise. I would suggest mounting on a rigid surface and surrounding it with a floater frame in white wood. Up to the buyer, of course!
