Pangea Painting

My painting was inspired by my love of earth's history and its early inhabitants. The painting spans eons as it blends a fantastic interpretation of the early earth filled with ancient and contemporary creatures. Aelita makes volcanoes from coloured sand and pours paint to simulate primordial eruptions of lava. She dramatically accompanies this with stories of escaping animals from Pangea as it breaks up. Aelita naturally and freely expresses style and technique. She employs technique and materials naturally freely as she sees fit at that moment. Every action contributes to the painting and is infused with a genuine expression of joy and wonder. Often while painting Aelita will pause and say, "Oh wow, that's so beautiful!", or, "Oh, look at that!”. Aelita comes up with her extraordinary creative and evocative names after she finishes her painting.
