LILAS BLANO Lilas Blano is a French artist was born May 14, in 1965. She currently lives in Reims, “City of coronations and Champagne! Where she studied at the School of Fine Arts. She first worked in advertising and animation before moving definitively to art painting in 2005. She lived in London, Montpellier and Luxembourg before returning to the city of Champagne. This exuberant designer and colorist with incredible spontaneous captures a certain ironic and rebellious femininity in a contemporary figurative style. Cheerful, exuberant, sparkling, the women of Lilas Blano are confident of themselves and of their role. An original universe with warm colors, cut shapes, marked with a strong and unique graphic style, a reminiscent of childhood where paper is cut to make dresses. Perhaps, this is how the nervous gesture that chisels his compositions was born. "I break, I dismantle, I examine, I recompose. " The fabrics with mixtures of geometric and floral shapes enrich the compositions and harmonize all of her intertwined young ladies with sweet faces. Her own reflections are composed in a scene, multiple attitudes of one, a bit like in a bouquet of women and flowers, perhaps, in order to conceive an accomplished being. “I catch a glimpse of them. I reveal them with pigments and oil, I untie their outline in order to free their being. " Through her paintings, Lilas Blano invites us into her “ladies' states” and we become spectators of her own emotions.
