Rob Caggiano: Volbeat Painting

I am an amateur artist with a passion for rock music and recently (last four years) a growing desire to capture some of that passion in drawings and paintings. I occasionally tackle other subjects but more often than not I get drawn back to figurative and portrait work of the rock stars whose music excites me. I work in lots of different mediums as I don't always have the time to paint, but developing my painting skills is my goal. My desire is to capture the energy of the music I feel in my paintings and somehow convey that to the viewer. I am often to be found in my studio (garage) with the music of my subject at full blast and me fully immersed in my painting task - which is a fantastic release from a demanding full time job in Manufacturing Engineering.
