Naval Painter Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin was inspired by rope science sailors. Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin was awarded 1st prize in the '' 8th Traditional '' Painting Contest on 'Sea' organized by Turkish Naval Forces Command in 2004. She won ''Naval Painter Prize''. She get the '' Naval Painter Title'' from Turkish Naval Forces Commander Özden Örnek. 2006-2004 Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin joined the Turkish Naval Forces Command's Military Naval Operations, 2005 '' Old Salt'' and made art works at the invitation of Turkish Navy Commander Yener Karahanoğlu and Turkish Navy commander Metin Ataç. Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin, who received the title of Naval Painter and Honorary Major, was '' First Turkish Woman Naval Artist. Her Navy Painter Artworks are constantly exhibited in the hall, museum and archives of the Naval Forces Commands.
