Once again, I created a picture inspired by a read book. It was Jack London’s "The Valley of the Moon". This book describes the historical events in the USA of the early 20th century on the example of one family. The Great Depression has not yet begun, but tension is felt in cities, skirmishes occur. Despite the urban life and the loss of the firstborn, the heroes were able to trust each other and, without a penny in their pockets, to meet their dreams. Thanks to the infinite love, they found their moon valley. And love in this novel is described such that it is breathtaking! What mutual understanding between heroes, what correct self-criticism. They are ready to please each other, the partner’s happiness comes first.
Well, tell me, didn’t you ever want to drop everything, look away, in search of your happiness, your “The Valley of the Moon”?

Alex SanVik is a contemporary artist whose work explores themes of truth, love, simplicity, and harmony. His paintings are driven by a desire to create emotional resonance — every canvas becomes a space where color, form, and feeling converge. Working primarily with acrylics on canvas or paper, SanVik transforms his experiences and reflections into vivid compositions. Every brushstroke is more than technique; it is expressions of perception and emotion, shaped by the beauty and complexity of the world around him. Through carefully chosen titles, he invites viewers to engage in a personal dialogue with each artwork. Believing that art is a shared experience, SanVik values the unique interpretations and emotions that every observer brings to his creations. For him, the essence of art lies in its ability to connect — quietly, profoundly, and beyond words. Born in 1989, Alex SanVik has dedicated his journey to constant artistic growth outside the boundaries of academic tradition. His artworks are held in private collections across the globe, including Singapore, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, the USA, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Georgia.
