About The Artwork

Large abstract landscape. Oil and acrylic on canvas. Bright and vivid, almost "Cool Aid" colors show a Pop Art influence. Heavy impasto builds by brushes and pallet-knifes. Inspired by Pre-Appalachian wood grows and forests. Master quality material has been used. Using oil over the acrylic technique allows achieving the brightness of colors and richness of texture. Edges of the painting are covered with archival white linen tape. No need for framing. It is ready to hang. Signed on the back. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.

" In general, my paintings are skirting the boundary line between representation and pure abstraction. Color, form, gesture, and physicality of paint - all of them are the subjects of main interest and great importance. Almost all paintings have been inspired by the landscape. Behind every abstract composition is a particular place in a particular time and in a specific atmospheric condition."
