About The Artwork

The work of art is mostly controlled by chemical and physical processes. It is produced with a special water-based medium over a longer period using an water-impermeable ground. Properties such as solubility, diffusion, crystallisation, surface tension, temperature, evaporation, concentration of salts, and the influence of air (oxygen) result in each picture being one of a kind. The motif can be influenced by limiting the area of reaction, as well as controlling the liquids’ direction of flow, yet with surprising and unexpected results. The picture often shows very fine structures, which resemble nature, strange and beautiful. By avoiding too much direct planning and manipulation the work develops an exotic touch and allows all interpretations of the viewer. These pictures were shown at the exposition: „SALTS generating ART“.
