Sitting Man, Talking to Others Painting

This year I started with a new series of paintings and drawings. I would like to paint humans again. I searched in books after paintings of men and women. This piece is made after the view of a painting of the time of the Renaissance. After making a sketch directly of it, I transformed the topic and the sight of the man. I painted him colorful and heavy after my own pencil sketch. I did not use the original picture of the painting again. I hope the viewers will recognize the hands of the man. He ist listening and talking to others. They are out of sight, but he is not alone. I often do use watercolors. I am trained with them. My other paintings are little impressions of easy done situations, with much of psychedelic ornaments on them. For this piece I used Schmincke Horadam Colors and a small brush. Later I filled the remaining planes with a French brush of bigger shape. The style of this painting is colorful and fresh. The photographs of it are done in the unique moment with wet colors. Therefor the painting has some reflections on it.
