From the series, Power and Connection. As I looked at power poles I found similarities with other common day objects. A viewer makes the connection between the cable equipment and a pair of glasses. I am fascinated by electrical installations, power poles and telecommunication infrastructure as an art show in the sky. This one is essentially a line drawing. Others in the series are about shape (transformers) or cabling, cutting up space

I made a decision to leave all doors open, to explore, to experiment, to translate, metamorphose and to dream. In drawing and painting, I analyze the world around me, recording, rescuing fugitive images from obscurity and saving them in some kind of visual imagery - chalk pastels, watercolours, oils, acrylics, plastic archival collage or photos. I paint what I find funny, or beautiful, or simply something that fits into an archetypal pattern. I look for layers of meaning.
